8/1/03 - Marshall County Democratic Bean Dinner at KY Dam Village Activities Center.

8/2/03 - Fancy Farm Picnic.

8/7/03 - Western Kentucky Central Labor Council Monthly Meeting in Paducah.

8/19/03 - District Lodge 154 Monthly Meeting.  Drawing to be held for the gun we are selling raffle tickets on.

8/26/03 - Retirees' Monthly Meeting.

If you haven't bought a raffle ticket on the gun yet, please see your Local Lodge President and he can provide tickets for you.  The money earned from these tickets will be used for the Machinists Non-Partisan Political League.

September 1 is Labor Day - the District Office will be closed.  Try to attend the Labor Day Parade in Paducah; the District Lodge is planning on entering a float representing the Machinists members.

Don't forget that the Kentucky State Council of Machinists will be holding its Annual Fall Meeting on the weekend of September 5.  If you would like to attend, see Benny Adair.  The following week is the Annual Labor-Management Conference on September 9 thru 11.
